About the course: It is
integrated course of law where
students get the opportunity to
simultaneously study law and
humanities. The allied subjects
offered under this course are
English, Political Science,
History and Sociology. It is a
five year course comprising ten
semesters on completion of which
a student earns a graduate
degree in law.
Objective: B.A.LL.B. offers
students the opportunity to
enter the field of legal
education at a very early stage
of their academic career. The
course is offered only by whole
time day colleges or university
departments recognized by the
Bar Council of India. It
provides for compulsory
practical training and mandatory
Moot Court practice.
Eligibility:The applicant should have passed
10+2 or its equivalent
examination. Should have secured
minimum 45% of marks in case of
general categories of applicants
and 40% marks in case of SC/ST
applicants.
Maximum age for seeking
admission to this course is
twenty year in case of General
Category of applicants and
twenty two years in case of
applicants from SC/ST and other
Backward communities. Such age
shall be counted on the 1st July
of academic year of the
admission. Only high school
certificate will be considered
for age proof and no other
documents will be taken into
consideration for age proof.
Applicants should satisfy
themselves that they fulfill the
eligibility requirements in
terms of qualification and age.
If the percentage of marks
secured by a candidate at the
qualifying examination, falls
short by even a small fraction,
it shall not be rounded to the
next whole number.

Internship – Each student will
have to complete minimum of 20 weeks
internship for integrated five years course
during the entire period of studies,
provided that internship in any year cannot
be for a continuous period of more than 4
weeks. The student may do their internship
during winter and summer vacations.

LL.B. 3 year degree course (160 seats)
About the course : A student after
obtaining a graduation degree can opt for
Law. The degree is suited to students who
wish to pursue a career in which knowledge
of law and legal system is of major
importance. A student passing his LL.B.
Examination is deemed to be a graduate in
law. It is a 3 year course comprising 6
semesters.
Objective: LL.B. offers students the
opportunity to study the closely related
disciplines of law and politics. It is arm
for students who wish to study public policy
in the legal context. A degree in law makes
a student professionally competent to apply
for legal posts in the Govt. as will private
sectors.
Eligibility
A
student after passing the graduation
examination of this university or any Indian
university incorporated by the law for the
time being in force or any other examination
recognized by the university with at least
45% of marks in case of general categories
of applicants and 40% marks in case of SC/ST
applicants on the basis of merit shall be
eligible for admission to LL.B First
Semester of the 3-year Law Course.

thirty years in case of General Category of
applicants and thirty five years in case of
applicants from SC/ST and other Backward

Attendance
The student shall be required to put in a
minimum attendance of 66% in the lectures on
each of the subjects as also in the moot
court session and in practical in the
courts.
Participation in Lok Adalat
As a part of training under internship,
participation in Lok Adalat proceedings is
compulsory.
Legal Awareness Programme
LL.B 3 years
final students and BA. LL.B final year
students have to organize Legal awareness
programme at Block Level. The participation
of the legal Panchayat representative of the
blocks is invited. Issues concerning the
working of Panchayats are discussed and
panchayat members are educated about their
duties and way of functioning.
Court Training:
Final year
students of 3 years LL.B Course and final
year students of 5 year B.A. LL.B course
have to attend and observe the trial
proceeding of 6 civil cases and 6 criminal
cases in the court.

Graduate Course
LL.M.
About the course: A graduate in law
having passed either LL.B. or B.A.LL.B.
Examinations can opt for the LL.M. Course.
It is a two year post graduate degree course
in law. The course is designed for serious
minded students who are competent to pursue
research oriented study and have an
inclination towards academics.
Objective: LL.M. degree prepares the
students for a satisfying career in various
branches of law, such as law officers, legal
advisors, law professionals having
independent set-up. LL.M. degree also
qualifies a person for teaching in a law
school and university. They can also take
judicial service examination and become
judges. There is no dearth of career
opportunities for LL.M. degree holders.
Eligibility
Three years or Five years Degree in Law with
minimum 50% marks in case of candidates from
general categories and 45% marks in
qualifying examination in case of SC/ST
candidates.
